Katerina Georganta was born in Athens. She studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts and set design at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. Since 1977, when the THOLOS Gallery undertook the presentation of her first personal exhibitions in Greece and abroad, to which must be added a series of wall-paintings which adorn large public and private premises.

In 1995, the Thessaloniki HAYAT Casino, following an international competition, commissioned Katerina Georganta to carry out the wall – paintings of its main premises. It was followed by the casinos of Syros and Florina. Since 1995, she has worked with the IPPOCAMPOS shipping – building company and has decorated the main areas on the following cruise ships: MILLENNIUM, SUMMIT & INFINITY, Celebrity Cruise Lines (marine architect responsible: Andreas Katsamakidis – St Nazair Shipyards, Nantes). DEUTSCHLAND (marine architect responsible: Andreas Katsamakidis – IIDW Shipyards, Kiel). SUN VIVA 1 & SUN VIVA 2, Sun Cruise Lines (marine architect responsible: Eleni Dara, Singapore Shipyard). ROYAL VIKING SUN (marine architect responsible: Agni Katzouraki).

In 1999, she was responsible for the wall – paintings in the PELICAN BAY Hotel on Mykonos (marine architect responsible: Christina Tsalakian).

In 2003, she undertakes the painting of the small church of St. Nektarios in the inside of the ELEFTHERIOS VENIZELOS AIRPORT in Athens.

Paintings by Katerina Georganta are to be found in many collections in Greece, Cyprus, Paris, London, California, Miami, Chicago and Frankfurt.
